Koodin enhances the brand transformation of Datasnipper
At Koodin, we specialize in creating transformative UI/UX solutions. A good example of this is our work for DataSnipper, a tech scale-up from Amsterdam that achieved unicorn status in 2024. Their Excel-based automation platform increases productivity for audit and finance teams. With over 500,000 users in 170 countries, DataSnipper was named by Deloitte as the fastest-growing technology company in the Netherlands. We contributed by enhancing their branding, website UI/UX, product visuals, and user onboarding.
The Challenge
DataSnipper needed a complete overhaul of their visual identity and user interface to better align with their international customer base. The main challenges were modernizing the brand, designing more user-friendly interfaces, and simplifying the onboarding process.
The Solution
To meet the needs of DataSnipper, we implemented a comprehensive design system, developed in collaboration with The Verve, an Amsterdam-based agency. This modular system, consisting of libraries for basics, website, and social media, ensures design consistency and flexibility. It empowers the marketing team to effectively use brand assets and facilitates a streamlined design process and improved collaboration between design and development.
In collaboration with the product marketing team, we developed lo-fi visuals and motion graphics for animation videos, which were crucial for product launches. These visuals highlighted the key features of DataSnipper, enhancing the explanation and understanding of the product functionalities. This visual content played a key role in marketing campaigns and promotions, significantly improving user engagement and understanding.
Additionally, we redesigned the onboarding user experience by creating an optimized self-service flow, including Single Sign-On (SSO) and an enhanced user dashboard. By managing both UX design and front-end development, we bridged the gap between the product and marketing teams. Through iterative design, stakeholder management, and rapid prototyping, we successfully delivered a functional prototype within just four weeks.
The Results
Our design solutions had a significant impact on DataSnipper by streamlining workflows and reducing task completion time. This efficiency improvement led to increased user satisfaction and a higher adoption rate. Additionally, the strengthened brand identity and market position contributed to a more cohesive and recognizable brand image.
